Delray is a modern fast (does 20 knots, cruises 15 knots.) 45' x 14'6" game rigged sport fisher powered by twin 230HP turbo Ford engines. Three steering stations include cockpit control. Latest electronic gear. Comfortable spacious accommodation for live aboard cruising-sleeps 4 plus crew.
Delray has a roomy 4 single berth forward cabin, a double cabin with own shower, separate toilet and hand basin. A spacious saloon can sleep three, includes a fully equipped galley. Toilet, handbasin and shower off the cockpit.
A large cockpit with Cyrils Game Chair plus plenty of room to jig for fish. Plus a large flying bridge and foredeck. Parties of up to six persons/or share charters can live on board.
Live aboard includes full meals (excludes alcohol and canned drinks in quoted price) and accommodation-all linen supplied. Fridge, freezer, hot and cold water, gas stove, all pots, plates and cutlery & barbeque.
Tackle on board. Light tackle 8Kg, 10 Kg. Big game 15 KG, 24 Kg, 37 Kg. If specialising in light tackle you may wish to bring your own rods, reels, harness & fighting belts, jigs, poppers, lures etc.
John Going has vast knowledge and experience of fishing and cruising. John has fished many years from his home base at Tutukaka and over winter months has taken Delray many times to the Islands of Tonga for winter fishing returning to New Zealand for the game fishing season.
During his many years as a charters skipper his anglers have caught many New Zealand and world records. John offers expert fishing tuition, this is great for anglers and for their children being introduced to the sport of fishing.
We support tagging but the choice is yours, areas fished and duration of charters can be tailored to your requirements. Our fishing destinations offer a wide variety of fish species and we like to promote them as places were one can experience excellent fun fishing with opportunities to catch fish of world record class.
Areas Fished Delray fishes and cruises all the waters from Great Barrier Is, Mokohinau Is, Hen & Chickens Is, Poor Knights Is, Cape Brett, Bay of Islands, Cavalli Is, Whangaroa, Cape Keri Keri, North Cape and the Three Kings Islands. Charters can leave from a port that is closest to the area that is fishing well.
