Short Cruise
(Duration Approx. 3 Hours) Summer October-April Departs 10.am and 1.30pm Winter May-September Departs 9.am and 1.30pm
Enjoy the comfort of our luxury catamarans as we cover up to 120 kilometres of sheltered waterways and bays. See seals basking in the sun, shags and gannets diving for fish, and a working salmon farm. Share in the fun of delivering passengers and freight to the Sound's resorts, holiday homes and permanent residences as we cruise throughout the Queen Charlotte Sound.
Let us "cruise" you through the intricate maze of inlets and bays to the Endeavour Inlet. Disembark at your choice of the award winning Punga Cove Resort, Bay of Many Coves Resort, Portage Resort Hotel or historic Furneaux Lodge to enjoy a leisurely lunch. All resorts offer you extensive Marlborough foods. After lunch you'll have time to enjoy resort-based activities including tennis, swimming, fishing etc. There will also be time for a short stroll through the native bush with your camera ready to record those special memories of the Queen Charlotte area.
Cruise-n-Walk
(Duration up to 9 hours including up to 6 hours onshore) Summer October-April Departs 8.am and 10.am Winter May-September Departs 9.am
This option is designed for those who wish to spend time on the famous Queen Charlotte Track, the winner of the New Zealand Tourism Board Best Visitor Attraction. Cruising on the way out you may see dolphins looking for their first meal of the day. Marine Mammal Watch permits us to interact with dolphins if we come across them along the way. We are able to offer a variety of walks ranging from 1 to 5 hours catering to all levels of fitness. For example, you can disembark at historic Ship Cove and experience our most popular day walk, the five hour walk to Furneaux Lodge. Recommended for all ages up to the fit 80's, these walks take you through lush beech forests, nikau palms and native ferns, and offer plenty of opportunity to view the beautiful panoramic scenery along the way.
Twilight cruise
(Duration - Approx. 3 hours) Depart 6.00pm - (Available mid December to end of February) At the end of the day relax with a glass of Marlborough wine and enjoy our 3 hour Twilight Cruise. As night replaces day and as the scenery changes you'll be left with lasting impressions of a relaxing cruise on the Queen Charlotte Sound.
